ANDREW NIMMER

FOUNDER & CEO

Andrew founded ScaleInsight based on his unique passion and vision helping businesses and individuals. He has over 19 years experience recruiting in Japan and has completed and/or contributed to more than 1,452+ searches (including over 71 Japan Country Manager/Leadership Level searches) throughout the IT Industry. He has also provided Japan market entry support consulting to 52+ technology companies that have successfully entered and/or scaled up in the Japan market. He also works closely with several venture capital firms to provide insights to their portfolio companies with regards to general hiring and business issues unique to Japan.

Andrew primarily supports rapidly growing technology companies from the Silicon Valley who are looking to enter and scale in the Japan market. His primary focus area has been Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and Marketing Technology (including ad-tech and digital marketing), but has also completed numerous mid-career – executive level searches throughout enterprise software including Big Data, Analytics, AI, Machine Learning, IoT, On-Demand/Edge Computing, and DevOps.

Andrew started his career with Japan Airlines where he was a Customer Service Supervisor, and there he had the chance to experience a global SAP rollout which ultimately drove him to start a career in IT recruitment. After Japan Airlines he joined Access Technology Japan K.K. where he was consistently a top-3 performer (out of 50+ consultants), and received MVP honors in his 2nd year. Prior to launching ScaleInsight, Andrew provided recruiting and consulting services to assist Silicon Valley technology companies enter and scale in the Japan market as an External Consultant (Partner) for a top Japan based executive search firm.

Andrew spent a year at Tokyo Gakugei University as a Monbukagakusho Scholar and worked as an intern at Mizuno Sports in Japan before graduating from Carthage College with a Bachelors in Japanese and Communications. Being from Wisconsin, Andrew is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, enjoys baseball and currently plays on a local team in Tokyo. Andrew relocated to Japan in 2003 where he maintains Permanent Residency and speaks, reads, and writes fluent Japanese. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, keeping fit, and traveling domestically as well as abroad to experience different foods and cultures.

SHOKO HONDA

OPERATIONS MANAGER & EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Shoko is responsible for Operations and Administration covering a broad range of duties including accounting, general affairs, market research, email marketing, prospecting, lead generation, and managing the company’s business office.

Shoko has 9+ years of experience providing professional Consulting Support for a top Japan based executive search firm prior to joining ScaleInsight. Shoko was born in Kumamoto and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a BA in Speech Communications. Shoko enjoys spending her personal time with her family, friends, cooking, and traveling.

YOSHINOBU KAMBE

DIRECTOR, EMERGING TECHNOLOGY

After graduating from university, Yoshinobu worked in Individual Business Sales, IT Engineering, and IT Corporate Sales before entering the recruiting industry in 2010. Yoshinobu then worked as an in-house Recruiter and Recruiting Manager for several leading technology companies such as Google, Salesforce, Amazon, SAP, Qualtrics, and others. Yoshinobu has over 12 years of experience in helping organizations grow and expand through the acquisition of top talent. He has helped recruit for over 400+ positions including senior-level positions such as Director and Senior Director. Through his past experience as an IT Engineer he has a strong background in recruiting for technology companies - not only for Sales and Customer Success positions, but also for technical positions such as Pre-Sales, Consultants, and Engineers. He has particular expertise in Cloud Computing, SaaS, CRM, ERP, BI, Analytics, and other applications.

At ScaleInsight, Yoshinobu is primarily responsible for helping growing technology companies from the Silicon Valley that are looking to enter or scale in the Japan market and supporting them with their talent acquisition efforts.

Yoshinobu graduated from Asia University in 1998 with a Bachelors in Economics. In 1995 during his time at Asia University he realized his want and need to be able to communicate in English to expand his opportunities - so he enrolled in a five month exchange program at Western Washington University in the United States in 1995. After graduation, he intentionally joined a corporation with a working environment requiring English. Yoshinobu improved his English skills working with many clients and co-workers as as an outgrowth of his job responsibilities. He currently speaks, reads, and writes fluent English.

Yoshinobu loves physical fitness and since childhood has been involved in a variety of sports including swimming, skiing, baseball, American football, and boxing. In his free time, he enjoys going for a drive and traveling with his family.
